Today, this is all I've got

align="center">

She makes me laugh. This "I CAN DO IT MYSELF" determination sometimes is more than I can bear. But she always makes me laugh.

We are a week away from three. I understand what they're talking about, "three is worse than two." I wouldn't say worse, but just a new level of difficulty.

She's got ideas. Her own BIG ideas. And she can reason.

But she's tender. So very tender. And gentle. And when she sees her baby sister she says, "Good morning, Sunshine! I'm so glad you're up!"

She asks to hold her. "PLEEEEEAAAASE mama?" Then, she spends forever inspecting Littlest's every wrinkle and spot, just as she did the day they met.

She can be bossy. Boy, can she. She's already practicing her "I'm older and wiser" speeches.

She's a joy. A delight, with an easy laugh and an easier smile.

She can get dirt under her nails and not even know it. The next thing you know, she's asking for a flower in her hair. Girly without too many frills.

She still "lulleys," you know. There's just something delicious to her about that Lulley. Intoxicating. And she just can't give it up. When I tell her to leave Lulley in the house, she will shove that thumb in her mouth, draw in a big deep breath of Lulley smell, drop her to the floor, and say, "see you later, Lulley."

"Ponytail" has been a consistent hair-do request as of late. "With a ribbon" is new. But required. Yesterday, I asked her when she turned into such a big girl. She told me it happened while she was at Miss Julie's house (that's the girls' caretaker while I'm at work). While I knew it wasn't true, it sorta was.

She's an artist, too. Designing and creating. And instructing me on what to draw where.

Our girl is big. Our girl is precious. Our girl is a undeserved gift. And we thank God for her!

She is perfect in every way! And yes, age 3 just brings on a different sort of difficulties...but, yet a whole other level of joys as well. I think you will love this year with her.

She is sooo adorable! Love the red toms and the lulley. Such sweet baby days. I remember my sweet mom saying she "wished she could put a book on my head to keep me from growing up so fast"...I know what she means now. They grow so fast!

Yes, three is hard, but full of so much joy. It is like all of a sudden there is so much you can do with a three year old. As hard as it is for them to grow up, it really does get better and better.
