We're nearly out of all the sweets. I have about one bowl of Lucky Charms left. I justify their purchase because I have a two year old, but let's be real. I buy them for moi. I finished off the tub of ice cream a few nights ago. We have 1/2 of an ice cream sandwich left and you'd be amazed at all that Little One will do if she knows an ice cream sammie is a stake...therefore, it's not worth me eating it. I've resorted to consuming semi sweet chocolate chips straight from the bag. Man, they are so good. My sugar diet starts tomorrow, okay?
We've been crying it out for the past 5 nights. No progress, my friends, no progress. Little One was by the book. Littlest, not so much. She's just as stubborn outside the womb as she was in. So, back to the one time a night feeding I go. It could be worse. That 4:30 nursing session is actually the only one in which it's just the two of us. No sippy cups to fill, no dollies that need to be clothed, no books to read, or bottoms to tend to. It's the only one that sweet Littlest gets my full attention. Maybe that's why she won't give it up. I can't blame her.
My mantra: grace, grace, a little more grace. If that's not coming out of my mouth, it's because it's full of chocolate chips.

I have the biggest sweet tooth! I'm already wondering how I'm going to lose the baby weight. Love the last line of this post!
You made me laugh out loud with the chocolate chips. The hubs is notorious for eating them out of the bag.
I CRAVE sugar all the time these days too! I have always had a sweet tooth but it is out of control now! I keep telling myself it must be related to nursing! I am going to be in big trouble when we finish nursing and my eating habits are out of control! Or, mabye I'll just figure out a way to keep nursing...:)

Oh my- thank you for making me laugh- a mouth full of chocolate chips is hard for me to picture of you! Sounds like your number two and my number two should be the best of buds. I mean I thought crying it out worked for every child. Not so much.
Katie, you always make me laugh. I just love that picture of littlest in your sidebar...which also makes me laugh. Oh, the joys of a colicky baby.
And grant yourself some grace in the diet department as well. It takes longer with the second. The first, the weight comes off easy. The second...it just takes a lot of time. I thought after a year that that was as good as it was going to get. But, now after 18 months, I finally lost the rest of the weight and my clothes fit again. It just took a lot of time.

Oh, please, y'all are doing way better than we did :) I finally made the first cry it out at 7 months...and I can't bear to tell you when I made the second one. Something about those middle of the night nursing sessions that my boys just hated to give up. Cherish them.
LOVE it. Chocolate chips straight out of the bag has always been my weakness!! No strength here to get rid of them though...in fact, now that I'm thinking about it, I may just need to go into the pantry now...
Sounds like we are on the same page. I am terrible when it comes to sugar. Just can't let it go. Maybe I should join you today!
How many weeks is Littlest One? Gray is 9 weeks and we are making progress on sleeping. For three nights now he's gone from 9:30-4:30... I hope he keeps it up and stretches it further. I dread the crying it out stage if we get there...
Done the chocolate chip thing. Yes. So good. And I've got a stubborn one here at this house, too. P would not cry it out. But he's better now. He worked it out in his own time. :-) But I miss those middle of the night feedings.
I shamelessly keep a bag of candy (usually M&Ms or mini candy bars) hidden in my desk drawer, and I snack on them when I'm working. The other day L was in here, and he points to the trash (full of wrappers). "Looks like someone had some dessert!" he says. Busted. By a 4-year-old.
