So when we were invited to join some friends at their farm for the weekend, you can imagine the excitement that ensued!! Little One just knew that there would be a big red barn and horses and geese and cows and chickens. She was pretty much correct on all fronts...except the barn wasn't red. It was charcoal with rust trim.
We had such fun. I think God made our family for an atmosphere like this. Dirt and grass and hay. Dusty roads and bumpy trails. Levis and boots. We had full hearts as we watched our girl soak in the grand creation. It was good for our souls.
The Love of My Life and I fell in love at just such a place in Georgia, in between classes. A quick 45 minute drive from Auburn. A stop for boiled peanuts on the way. A wild hog chase here, a strutting turkey spotted there. And a whole lot of hours spent swatting away flies and hooking worms on an aluminum boat. Sweet, sweet times. This weekend was reminiscent. Just add a two year old to the equation. And a pregnant belly. I love Labor Day.

OH MY GOODNESS, LO has become a little GIRL!
I love her little cowgirl boots! Our little baby is going to need some of those. Beautiful pictures!
If girlfriend is wearing boots that big already, she's going to be TALL like her daddy! Precious!!! I'll have to tell her cousins she's going to give them a run for it... although L has a pretty mighty headstart. ;-)
How fun!! Precious pictures. Life is stressful here too. Sometimes I feel like chasing and entertaining a demanding one year old is almost as tiring as having a newborn. I'm in a dinner slump but hoping to do some more cooking in bulk soon. Love that baby belly too!!
I love her cowgirl boots. They are the best!
What a GREAT weekend! :) I am so happy for you that y'all had that time away and together and at SUCH a GORGEOUS place! Very, very fun. MT is super cute! Love that girl!
I am familiar with The Big Red Barn. You are a beautiful pregnant mama!
That's it. I'm going to get the Big Red Barn THIS WEEKEND. And some cowboy boots.
