A Recipe and Something to Ponder

When I moved to an apartment in college, my mom armed me with some of her tried and true recipes. When LOML went to college, his mom did the same. And when we got married and merged our family recipes, boy did we end up with something stellar. It's my favorite cookbook to cook out of.

It's in this cookbook that I have a secret weapon. It's only called "Greek Salad" but it's dangerously good and you'll want to eat every delectable healthy bite, leaving nary a speck for the rest of your family. Sometimes I omit the olives, and always the onion. You're welcome.

Sister sent me a book for my birthday. Honey For a Child's Heart. Author Gladys Hunt says this, "Young children, fresh uncluttered minds, the world before them- to what treasures will you lead them? With what will you furnish their spirit?"

Whew. Those words are ringing loudly in my ears, challenging me, making me think.
