So it turns out...

...that Baby Frederick is actually a Fredericka. Yup, you heard right. We'll be welcoming baby girl number 2 during the holiday season! Little One is having a veeeery hard time understanding that baby Frederick is actually a girl. She is absolutely certain, convicted I'd say, that she is a he. I'm not pushing the issue. I know LO will embrace her baby sister with a tenderness that will melt me and fill my heart to overflowing.

I've said all along when asked my gender preference that I'm thankful I don't have to pick at all; that God, in his infinite wisdom, knows just what our family needs. He has it all planned out with great and specific intentions. She isn't just some cosmic collision of particles and atoms randomly selected, but picked specifically from all the babies God could have given us. And what a beautiful creation she is! Love of My Life and I were in awe of that little bean bouncing around. And she's already sucking her thumb. Sweet little thing.

Baby girl, you are our treasure already. We thank God for his perfect gift of you!

*A note on the swim diapers....thanks for all your feedback!! I guess it would have helped you understand better my dilemma had I mentioned that we are having some "big event of the day" issues with Little One and I fear what could be the cleanup if it were to occur without a diaper. Especially since I love to dry heave whilst changing said big events. Once we get through this rough patch (hers, not mine), she'll be swimming commando for sure!!

Baby Fredericka, we love you already!!!

PS Back to the swim diapers...you'd be amazed what the hose can rinse off...from quite a distance, too, thus no dry heaving and a little fertilizer to boot. :)

What exciting news! A sister for Little One!

As for the big event dilemma...why not just put her in a regular diaper for swimming at home?

Two girls are so much fun! Congratulations:) Your wise words in regards to the baby's gender were pressed into my heart. We didn't find out the sex of either girl before they were born. I struggled with how to answer everyone's question about "what I wanted". You wrote exactly what my heart was saying but I could not articulate. Happy Weekend!

Two girls is the best. Really. And the savings upon savings is wonderful, because you already have all the clothes and tons of pink stuff probably. Congratulations! I love having two girls!
