These Days

These days we've been spending a lot of time outside. A whole lot of time. Like every-waking-second-except-when-we're-eating lot of time. And then when we retire to our toys inside, there might be a good bit of wailing, some kicking, and a few tears. But that's okay.

We've found dirt. And we've found that we like it...not so much the taste, but the way it feels under our fingernails and on the bottoms of our feet.

We've discovered pretty flowers. We love to pick them and tickle our faces with their petals. And sometimes eat them.

We've come to love mulch, sifting through until we find just the right piece. It makes a pretty comfy babydoll bed, too.

But most of all, we're seeing a love for God's creation in our little girl. And that's just fine by us.
