Boo!

While the Love of My Life was logging a little time with some menfolk over in Arkansas this weekend, I took the girls to a fall carnival.  They racked up on some candy...like GOOD candy.  Like, candy bars, as in CHOCOLATE, as in it won't last long since mama knows it's in the pantry.
Seeing as though I was all by my lonesome Saturday night, I found my way to the special secret spot where I'd hidden the bowl of candy.  My one glass of red wine was highly accentuated by the 5 pieces of chocolate that I consumed.
I threw away my trash, not considering that I might ought to hide the evidence.  Morning came, orange juice, and coffee brewing.  The trash must have nearly jumped out of the can as Little One shuffled past.  "MAMA!" she exclaimed.  "Oh, MAMA!  What have you done?!"  I turned my head to see her digging through the trash, examining my candy intake.  Judging, looking, glaring, demanding answers for such injustice.

I hung my head.  Yes, Little One, I did it.  I ate your candy.  5 pieces, over double what you are allowed in a single day.  I learned my lesson.  I hope you, reader, can learn from my mistake.  Hide your trash, people.  Come Thursday, you'll be eating your kids' candy too.

You don't even want to know how much candy, cake, pie, or chocolate I can eat when the hubs is gone. Thank GOD my kid isn't old enough to glare....yet. No judgement here.

Wait? You wait until Thursday? I've already stashed away a portion of our candy that I bought to give away... I don't mess around when it comes to chocolate.
