The Blog has fallen comatose. I had a no resuscitation clause written up and I've just been waiting out the slow and painful death of what was a nice little way to document our family history. I've thought about her from time to time. I've mourned the effort I put forth and then the effort I didn't. I've bargained with myself over starting her back up. I've made it past the guilt I inflicted on myself over the "keep it equal among the children" epic fail (in which Little One had center stage for a loooong time and poor Bug just hasn't). I went ahead and moved into stage 5 of loss and grief....Acceptance. Acceptance that she was over and done with. I've been peacefully in this stage for about 5 months. And then I went to a consignment sale.
If you've never experienced consignor night at a consignment sale, then you should know it is about competition and in the end, total domination. It's serious. It's stressful. Sometimes elbows are flung and smocked duds snatched from others. Politeness is often times out the window. I happened to be there just before closing time and much of the absolute chaos and mean mamas had subsided. I went in looking for new hair bows, a booster seat, and soccer cleats. THAT'S IT.
Now there was this woman. She was sprawled out on the floor doing what any loving mother that wants her children dressed adorably without taking out a home equity line of credit to do so would do. She had mountains of darling gently used clothes she had pulled from the racks to sift through one last time before finalizing her decisions for purchase. She was right by the size 11 girls shoe bin. That's where I was headed. Size 11 cleats (which I found for 6 bucks thankyouverymuch).
I asked if she minded me hovering over one of her piles to dig through the shoe bin. She sweetly responded with a sure, no problem, do you need me to move type response. She glanced my way and kind of gasped. "I read your blog!!" She blurted out. "And your sister's!!" And I laughed out loud thinking "what blog? The one I've accepted I don't attend to anymore?" It was so weird in a funny way.
Since then, I've been reconsidering my acceptance of the death of the ole blog. I think I've slipped down a step or two into bargaining. "Just this one post. Just a few updated pictures to share. I don't have to be consistent with it!" I have a love hate thing with all blogs in general. Maybe I'll explain another time. But for today, here I am sharing a few pictures, thanks to my consigning friend who called me out (who, by the way, has 3 children she was shopping for...thus the mountains of cute clothes at 1/3 the price. Consignment purchases are genius, prudent, and necessary!!). Enjoy. This might happen again in another 6 months. :)

Welcome back -Im so glad!! I know that blogging can be such a chore and I go in spurts, but I am glad that you are here to share again whenever you can / want to! :) The girls are so big and both beautiful!!
I'm in a similar state with my own blog! The only time I can muster up the motivation to write is when I need to do a letter to Rhett, which is purely rooted in mom guilt over having written a letter to Riggins every freaking month until he was 2 (which I'm glad I did, but seriously...get a life, Les!). So yeah....glad to see you back and to see pictures of those DARLING girls! Hope all is well with y'all!
Ha! I'm glad you updated! Even if it is only twice a year! Yes, I TOTALLY get agree with the love/hate relationship with the blog world.
Soooo good to see my precious nieces!!! Love you all! xoxo
