We're a pretty modest family. I've accidentally exposed myself to Little One only once. It was traumatic...more for me than her. And then, of course, while nursing Bug there was slight exposure. But somehow, decency was maintained to the extent of extreme curiosity and questions that left me feeling a bit vulnerable. Anyway, Little One knows that we keep "bosoms" covered. End of story.
This weekend, LOML sent our sweet girl skipping into our bathroom to take a bath due to her usual tub being used by my MIL . Because I didn't tell him, LOML was unaware that I was occupying the shower, clear curtain and all. I heard the little footsteps in the bedroom, I heard the sweet little voice say, "Mama?" But my reaction time was too slow. The door flung open, her little frame filled the doorway, and her eyes popped out of her head. I shrieked, she ran.
LOML realized what happened as he heard the shower running and found her hiding in the drapes. "I'm just so disappointed that I saw mama's bosoms," she said painfully. She was near tears, traumatized by the shock of seeing her mother naked.
Still showering, LOML came in to discuss with me what had transpired. When he returned to the bedroom, this is what went down:
LO: Daddy, are you disappointed?
LOML: Oh, sweetheart, no. You did exactly what daddy told you to do. I'm disappointed that I sent you into the bathroom, not knowing that mama was in there already.
LO: No, no, no, no, no daddy. I mean are you disappointed that you saw mama's bosoms too?
