Life Lessons

First of all, I want to say thank you, thank you, thank you! for all of your encouraging words. You all have made me laugh and smile over my crying newborn. Why you people keep showing up here sure blows my mind. But you do, and you raise my spirits. So thanks.

Now, onto some very important life lessons I've learned recently...

Forget checking pockets only when you have children; I should have started awhile ago. We had a little clog in our washing machine drain line. My brilliant husband made the quick repair himself. Note to self: handwash nursing pads. See below. Gross.

Surprisingly, Hello Kitty big girl undies don't work as payment at the grocery store. I was fishing out some change the other day and a pair just came right out of my purse. The poor guy was like, "uh, ma'am?" while eyeing them laying on the conveyor. Surely I'm not the only one that carries undies in my purse. And surely he didn't think they were mine.

Our Little One likes rap music. Yes, it's true. She was jammin' out in her power wheels jeep, driving Bitty Baby around, and ran right into the azaleas. The Love of My Life went over the help her out of the bushes and to his surprise, she was head bobbing to Sisqo's "Thong Song." Yikes.
Not only does she love some rap, she also loves some 80's. Specifically Toni Basil's "Mickey." Her moves crack us up. What a joy to have her in our lives!

So far I've washed 2 iPods due to not checking pockets. And neither of them were children's pockets. Thank you, Love of MY Life. And thank you, Brother-in-law. And, yes, those nursing pads are disgusting.

Hey Katie!

Just wanted to let you know, regarding your last post, that I'm right there with you except I'm on my second high maintenance baby...though I will say that I'm a lot more grateful for it this time around...just glad he's healthy. Anyway, I think about y'all a lot and hope you get some rest soon :)

Take Care!
Rhonda

Washed my remote control once. They are not waterproof - FYI. Love LO's polka dot pajamas! And at least your purse debacle proved she isn't practicing Sisqo's lyrics.
