What a Day

I got a phone call this afternoon from Little One's sweet caregiver. 102 fever. Sick eyes. Chills. Fabulous. I went to pick her up and found her resting on the couch, all her friends running around, playing and laughing. She looked at me with tears and said, "Mama, I don't feel really good." And I nearly cried for my pitiful girl.

I sat on the edge of the couch and held her little head in my arms. She was so hot. And midway through the second, "Mama, I don't feel really good" came the vomit. Glorious vomit all over me, all over her, lulley, blanket, clothes, couch. It was pretty significant in volume.

We got home, stripped down, started a load, and snuggled. For three hours. 3 crackers, 6 sips of Gatorade, and lots of Barney and Elmo. She rallied. Daddy got home. I fixed supper. about 3 bites in to her small bowl of veggie soup, "it" happened again. All over the table. "Mama, what was dat?" Bless her bones. She sleeps and I pray it's over. This is our second bout with child throw up. I'm certain there's a phobia associated with children throwing up. And I'm certain that I have it.

Oh no... I'm so sorry! I, too, have the phobia. Majorly. Luckily, we haven't had to deal with it too much. Everyone I've talked to lately has had the bug in their house. K came home sick Monday. Praying, praying, praying we contained it. So far no one else has succumbed. Praying it's contained at your house, too!

Bless her! And bless you - I'm with you on the phobia thing.

By the way - with all these pictures of those precious baby in those adorable cowboys boots, I am certain I need to invest in a pair for my baby girl!
