A heart of thanksgiving

Sister recently sent me a birthday present. It doesn't matter that my birthday is in July. An unexpected something in the mail is always a delight! And she remembered my birthday in the least expected way!

When I saw the packages of books from Overstock and Amazon lying on my front porch, my heart swelled with fear. When did I order anything? I have completely lost my mind. I've ordered something with no recollection of it. Oh my word, someone hacked into my amazon account and ordered me a book (why would that even happen?)! Alas, it was just a sweet, unexpected gift from my big sis. The very best kind of present.

I recently recommended a few books to a sweet friend. She said I always know what books she needs to read. But the truth is that my sister has guided me to nearly each book I've ever passed along to others! It's so nice to have someone ahead of you that cares to pass down their wisdom. Generation Ex, The Mission of Motherhood, Baby Wise, Shepherding a Child's Heart, and this just in...One Thousand Gifts by Ann Voskamp.

Y'all. I'm four chapters in and it's a life changing perspective. Ann Voskamp accounts the shift that occurred in her heart because she sought to find the joy in all circumstances...as in every. little. detail of life. It's called eucharisteo. You won't find that in the dictionary. If you're looking for a great read, pick it up.

I just got this one at Davis Kidd for those late night feeding times. Let's be sure to discuss!

I can't wait to start the book! I ordered mine last week! My eyes and heart can hardly wait for some eucharisteo! Hoping you will start to share your thankful list! It would brighten all of our days!
