High Tea

Little One held a tea party, fancy attire required. She carefully selected the fine jewels and heels each of us wore. As in, it went something like this: "heego, mama" as she shoved a necklace against my chest and whacked the top of my foot with a stiletto while she stomped around in a pair of peeptoes. Carefully selected.

One must understand that when invited to tea with Little One, it will be a fine event. Your teacup will never be empty as your hostess loves to top you off after every pretend sip. And it might be super sweet as spooning sugar into your cup is often substituted for a full on jettison of the entire imaginary contents of the sugar dish.

Baby dolls are a requirement. Sometimes I'm banished to the floor as others, read dollies, are given the seat of honor at the table. I don their necks with bibs and cautiously bring the teacups to their perfectly pursed lips.

It is such a delight to mother our precious girl.

Oh we love tea parties here...they are a daily musing here!
Today I let her drink from a real tea cup...I was terrified she'd break it, but she felt sooooo special using mommies fine china for our high tea!

oh my word, that is precious! I'm so excited about tea parties! Don't get me wrong, I love trains, but it'll be fun to have another hot drink lover.

AP has that outfit, a gift from Nell, it's one of my favorites!

Okay so I must admit that this gives me just a smidge of "girl envy" :) And I am so glad that "heego" is apart of someone else's vocabulary and its not just my child-we hear this word 1,764 times a day :)

Don't you just love moments like these? My little one just started dragging her doll around the house, taking naps with her, sitting with her at the table. And I have to admit, I feel so blessed to have a little girl and relive all those memories of my youth.

Love these photos of your girl. She is always adorable.
