Monotony

My life is full these days. Rich and wonderful. Busy and exhausting. And today, I've got nothing for you. It's just been the same routine around here. Same old dirt. Same old laundry. Same old ironing LOML's pants. Same old three day work week. Same old trip to Kroger.

And you know what I am finding? That the "same old" is really precious. I love spending days at home with my girl. And then I love the respite that work provides (yes, I said respite...I swanee that rising at 5:45 am and not sitting down until LO is in bed for the night on work days, they're easier than my off days. For real.)

Today, I somehow managed to forget to make my coffee. And then I somehow managed to get out the door and into Kroger and out of Kroger and to the zoo without a single drip of caffeine. And when the splitting headache ensued in the middle of a lovely picnic lunch with friends, it hit me like a ton of bricks. Hi, my name is (insert name here), and I'm addicted to caffeine.

And that is kinda scary. While I've recently considered dropping my coffee habit (which started with the birth of LO and is no more than 2 cups a day) because my teeth are turning a nice yellowish shade, there are more important reasons to take into consideration. My sister has just gone through caffeine detox due to a heart condition and a very precious-to-my-heart lady is limiting caffeine intake due to its ability to contribute to cysts in her breasts {I had no idea caffeine was capable of such}.

So while I continue in the sometimes monotony of my days, I will aim to cut out the caffeine. I will push myself to invest as much as I can into my girl. And I will pray that LOML feels he's loved by the pressed pants hanging in his closet.

Loved it all! Precious LIttle One!!! I want to get my hands on her and kiss her ALL OVER!!! And I loved that you consider a day at work a day off. Sometimes I get to the end of my day and feel totally wiped out exhausted and wonder if something is wrong with me. You encourage me! Love and miss you!
