Candid Camera

Someone around here has a new obsession.

What? A girl's gotta earn her keep. And she happens to be pretty meticulous with a vacuum.

In other news, I picked up my half read copy of Grace Based Parenting last night. The few pages I made time for were like a knife to the heart. I have been deeply burdened by the fear of not protecting our girl enough from the evil that abounds around us. Remember my prude post?

That burden remains but another issue has come to light, taking me by surprise. It's called candor. Or in my case, the lackthereof. Candor, as defined by Tim Kimmel is a way of communicating freely without prejudice or malice. It's taking truth and framing it in a way that helps not harms. Fairness in honesty, free of deception. Honesty dipped in honor.

Whoa. I find it ironic that I fear something I cannot control, yet have ignored that which I can. While LOML is typically on the receiving end of my lack of candor, it has taken my child to point it out. It's all part of the painful process of my own sanctification. I've got a lot to learn.

I stumbled across your blog via Spoonful but have never commented. I struggle (big time) with candor, and just over the past few weeks has it really come to light in my OWN life. Thanks for your honesty. It's good to know I'm not the only person who is going through this very humbling sanctification!

Hey, one of your silent blog stalkers here, but I'm reaching out to all the bloggers I read because I want big pictures! Is there an easy way you get your pics so darn huge? And by the way, I love your photography style. You posted a pic a long long time ago of your little baby's feet on some red brick steps...it was just to die for!
