Today we are tired. We are winding down from a traumatic morning of EKG's and echo cardiograms. You might be one of those people who think medical stuff is "so cool" and don't mind any type of doctor visit. Love of My Life and I are not. We squirm, we vomit, we pass out. Little One is hard wired to have a rough time. And rough it was...she screamed bloody murder just standing on the scale. And collapsed to her knees when we tried to get her height. This was not going to be pretty.
If you aren't familiar with how an echo works, let me tell you it requires at least 20 minutes of lying still on your back while someone does an ultrasound on your heart. LO is 19 months old. No 19 month old is still for 20 minutes unless they're passed out asleep. It took 2 suckers, her favorite Baby Einstein DVD, and a very patient technician to get us out of that office. We had prayed specifically for that aspect of the day...that God would give us a heaping dose of grace to make it through. And He gave us just what we needed.
And then we headed down the hall for an electrocardiogram (EKG). This was equally as traumatic. Poor baby. But we praise the Lord for his design of our little lamb. She is perfectly normal, with a healthy little heart. A sigh of relief, I tell you.
Happy weekend friends!

Hooray! Rejoicing with and for you!!!
So so happy for you! About the news that is, not what it took to get the news. Poor baby is right, hope she took a good long nap after her eventful morning!
Have a great weekend, safe travels!
So thankful that everything is okay!
Thanks for the update! So thankful!
So glad for good results. They should give the parents some sortof medication when there is an appointment like that! I hope you at least had a little wine with dinner :)
Such wonderful news! So happy for you!
Oh, this is such good, great, amazing news! I bet you were worn out after all that!
Ella freaks out about being weighed and having her height checked too. I don't get it. You'd think it would be looking in her ears or something...but, no, it's the weight thing. So weird!
Awesome! God is good.
glad everything went well!
