He is my help

There's been a lot of a crying around here lately. And whining. And temper tantrum throwing. And pointing and begging and pleading for dangerous items, like, say scissors. You know, just general unhappiness.

We're enduring a week (or three) of famine with LO. Food isn't on her radar, except for strawberries or veggie straws. None of the usual favorites are going down- cheese, yogurt, broccoli, peanut butter sandwich, mac-n-cheese. She's not having it. In my best efforts to get something substantial into her tummy, I made smoothies. Vanilla yogurt, banana, strawberries, milk. Delicious. It was good for about 4 spoonfuls. And then we were back to agony.

And it seems that when I reach my wits end, it is there that God meets me with a big ole dose of grace. Praise him that His mercy is new each morning. Praise Him that the sun came up today, and Little One awoke and I've yet to see a tantrum. I've yet to hear the whining that's been the theme song to our days.

Praise to the Lord, the Almighty, the King of Creation. Oh my soul praise Him, for He is my help and salvation. All those who hear, now to His temple draw near. Join us in glad adoration.

He is so good! We never actually reach the real breaking point, do we? Although it feels we're getting close sometimes!

Know that you are not alone my friend! There was am evening this week that I felt certain I was going to snap with ML. As much as I love that darling little girl, and as THANKFUL as I am for the blessing that is her presence in my life, she sure tests a LOT lately...constant tears that appear to have no consolation. That goodness for a God that knows our breaking points and will never give us more than we can bare! Especially when I hear this little roller coaster ride can last well into the threes :)

You are not alone in the whining and tantrums. It is a trying season of life, but also one of so many blessings. Just when you think you "might not like your child", they pull the angel card out and you forget all the other stuff...at least for a little while!

(And, have mercy. Your little girl is so adorable, I could eat HER with a spoon! Gorgeousness.)
