Since starting back to work, I have missed my girl something fierce. I am so thankful for our mornings that are unrushed, unhurried. Mornings that start with milk and cartoons in bed, her little body curled in my arms, liesurely breakfasts in which Little One refuses my help with feeding (read VERY leisurely breakfasts), and nice long reading sessions. Have I mentioned that Little One loves to read? I had hoped for such.
As each day passes, she learns more and more of how to communicate with us. While the teacher in me is a smidge worried that she doesn't have more words, the mama in me is bewildered by what she does know. This morning, Little One orchestrated something so precious I nearly melted into a puddle on the floor. She picked out a book, put her babydoll in the chair, grabbed her lovey and attempted to climb up to sit. I gave her a boost and watched as she pulled the blanket off the back of the chair, covered herself up, and proceeded to read to her babydoll.
My heart is so full it just might explode. To see the way God designed Little One to nurture and love is powerful. To watch her 17 month old brain determine a plan and execute is amazing. She is perceptive, observing more than I realize. What a gift she is to my life.

Got the box today...we're opening it after lunch...and everyone's waiting expectantly! :) Love you!
It is truly precious to watch them grow and learn. It shows what a good Mama you are to her. She's showing her baby the love you show to your baby!
K, your darling's hair has grown out long! Looks very pretty, and she has the sweetest smile!
She is so precious!! This age is my favorite yet...for today anyway :)
LOVE. I love that sweet baby girl! I will tell her future husband(foster) just how precious she is!
So sweet. She's adorable.
I'm such a fan of unhurried mornings too.
It is amazing. And it will just continue to astound you more and more as they grow (even when they're up to no good, it's amazing what they think of).
Love you all!
