Today is a big day. I remember waking up with back pains this day last year. Definitely NOT labor. But it was and 10 hours later Little One was ushered into the world.
I remember the first time I saw her. It was so strange. We had dreamed of this moment for so long, welcoming a baby to life. It seemed real but it seemed unreal at the same time. I can still hear the Love of My Life saying the word "unbelievable" over and over again. I remember the goofy grin on his face, the t-shirt with holes in it that he wore. I can still smell the hospital smell and hear the nurses chatter. "Eight pounds, 4 ounces!" I will never forget what it felt like to hold my child for the first time, the ache in my arms finally released. Little One's story began that day. Praise the Lord for his perfect timing and his perfect plan, that I could never have dreamed for myself.
