A is for ahrrythmia

And N is for Non-Obstructive Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy. Which is my new nickname for The Love of My Life (ha, just kidding). Actually, it's a diagnosis. We got some news from a physical that LOML had a few weeks ago. Which led to a stress test, which then led to an appointment with a cardiologist on Tuesday.

God created my dear husband with an unusual heart. As He knit The Love of My Life together, inside his mother's womb, he added an extra thickness to the wall that separates LOML's left and right ventricles. I can just imagine God thinking to himself, "Nope, not done with you quite yet." And with the stroke of his thumb, placed his mark on The Love of My Life's heart. This thickness could become bad, but for now we're praying that it would not thicken any more. To top the Non-Obstructive Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy, he also has an irregular heartbeat when under stress. He has to take it easy. He has to not get so excited when those ducks come in right out of the duck blind. He's got to only push Little One so fast in her car. And he'll probably be taking a pill for the rest of his life. And that's okay, my friends. We're okay. How blessed we are to have found this unexpected issue so that we can watch it. Never did I expect to see God's mercy displayed in this way.

So glad yall found it before it became a problem! Praying that this doesn't become too serious. SomeiLOes these things are God's way of telling us to slow down and enjoy life!

Hope this isn't too nosey, but what kind of symptoms did he have to convince you to get it checked out? Adam has fainting issues every now and then and I keep trying to tell him that he needs to get it checked out. Glad you found it soon enough to be able to hopefully stop it in its tracks!

Early detection is a blessing, so you're aware and can watch out for it. Praying it stays as thin as possible and won't be a problem.
