I have a student. He's in the third grade. And every time I see said student, whether in the morning, walking to the library, at lunch, in the hallway, etc, he has his shirt tucked into his underpants, whitey tighties exposed. It might not be quite as noticeable if his uniform didn't consist of a baby blue shirt with navy blue pants. Yikes.
I'm wondering, do I gently point it out and risk detrimental embarrassment? Or do I just let it roll?

HAHAHA! I had a student once whose mom still dressed her in those leggings and shirts that are shorter (like above the tush, but not belly showing or anything). Cute when you're little, not so much when things are starting to develop and hormones are starting to make an appearance. I sort of lightly mentioned it to her mom and blamed it on the other kids- like, hey, I know how these kids can be sometimes as they are getting older, so I wanted to let you know before it happens... that kind of thing. Maybe try that? But try really hard not to laugh while you're doing it. :-)
(Oh, and make sure mom didn't do it for him- I had a nerdy little guy who had super nerdy parents, and I'm pretty sure he was following their lead. Ouch!) Good luck!
My guess is he's doing this at home, too, so I'd leave it to mom to address!
