When Little One made her debut with a head full of darkish hair, we were stunned. The Love of My Life had a little hair at birth, I had none. Zilch. Nothin. Not only did Little One have a nice "do", she also was sporting some adorable ear fuzz. Well, maybe not adorable. It made her resemble my grandfather. Not that that's a bad thing...
Anyway, over the past few days, Little One's widow's peak just keeps on going back. She's balding! I know, I know...this is common in babies. However, that ear hair is holding on tight. If our baby ends up bald with an abundance of fuzz on her ears, I'll be sure to document with pictures.
I keep telling her she's still just as beautiful, whether she's got hair or not. And my expressing this to her has struck a chord in my heart. Love of My Life and I pray daily for our child's salvation. That there won't be a day that passes that Little One doesn't know Christ's love. It will be imperative that we teach her from a young age, that it is the heart that makes one beautiful. How do you achieve this goal while the world emphasizes outward beauty; where it will be dangled in front of her face everywhere she turns? Oh, how great the responsibility we have as parents!
