Lately, our computer has made me feel like banging my head against a wall. You'd think I'd realize that after 7 years of hard labor, the thing would be a little tired. A little senile. I've put up with no cd rom drive for several years now, I've gotten over the phone cord trailing through our house because the wireless connection won't work anymore, and I've patiently spent hours waiting for pages to upload and finally open. But here I sit, allowing myself to get all worked up because the darn Target website won't let me add some burp cloths to our baby registry. It's okay, Target. I'm not really mad at you. I have a deep seeded disdain for this machine that claims to make things easier, yet somehow complicates my entire life. I think today would be a good candidate for a happy shirt.
All this frustration leads me to believe it's time. When I see my husband again (which really won't be until Sunday evening because it's the last weekend of duck season and somehow that simple fact resolves him to spend the entire weekend in a duck blind in Arkansas), we will be shopping for a new computer. With little to no expenses regarding a new human life coming in to our home (feel free to insert a sarcastic snicker), the timing on this couldn't be any better! Any suggestions on where to start?
