Today I held my first Rainbows meeting of the year. Rainbows is a program that our school offers to help students through grief (divorce, death, etc). I have a group comprised of 6 kindergarten and first grade students. To start off, I introduced myself and had a bag with 6 objects that represent a special part about my life. One was a picture from our wedding, much like this one:
I asked the students if they could name the people in the picture. I, of course, was a dead giveaway, but they had a hard time with The Love of My Life.
