book worm

i'm in love with the cabinets that the Love of My Life built for our house. lately, i have not been very satisfied with the displays on each shelf. i had really been thinking of getting some old books and lining the shelves with those instead of all my "stuff". i mean, i love my stuff, but having it displayed just doesn't sit right with me. having felt this way for some time, i was inspired by erika, over at urban grace interiors, to buy up some pretty books and stock my shelves with them. so on saturday, i headed out to three amazingly cheap thrift stores (i don't dare venture to goodwill alone...our great city is a little scary that way). anyway, i came home, having spent under $10 on about 25 books. apparently my taste is consistent...as i ended up buying THREE copies of the same book. yea, weird, i know...and that i didn't realize it until after my purchase is a little alarming. anyway, as soon as i'm satisfied with mine, i'll post some pictures...it might be awhile so don't hold your breath!!
