remember those books about miss nelson? she was this sweet teacher with an ill behaved class. one day, miss nelson had a subsitute and it was this mean old grump (it was actually miss nelson in disguise). it made the kids realize how wonderful miss nelson was and that they should treat her as so.
well, i'm about to go "miss nelson" on my students. have you ever heard a kid whine when they earned a treat from the treasure box? or how about the child that starts crying when you follow through on what you said you would do in the first place? or how about being asked for a treat just for doing what they should do to begin with. i'm done with all of this. for all 32 of my kids, get ready, cause miss nelson is here.
