egg-static

i find it odd and ironic that so many people share in my egg obsession. i don't know what started it, or where i even saw it first. however, my obsession has grown.

allow me to give you a little peak into my compulsion: my husband saves bird eggs that he finds in the yard (i have a nice little growing collection of the beautiful robin's egg). i was a flower girl in my aunt and uncle's wedding and as a token of thanks, she gave me a beautiful bronze swallow with a delicate ribbon around his neck, holding a small glass bud vase. i still have it, unbroken and beautiful. there is a baby clothing line called pixie lily. they have a sweet egg and nest collection (hat, sack, and blanket) that i will be purchasing for any children i might have...in every size...and i don't care the price. i will have it! :)

ultimately, i want to own a collection of around 12 of these fabulous reverend f. o. morris prints. he also has done some called nest and egg. while these are also amazing, i prefer just the eggs. these pictures really don't do them justice, but they still make my heart beat a little faster.

and doesn't this look amazing:
