i finished my chair project. $4.48 for kilz spray paint+ $3.44 pewter gray spray paint+ $6.99/yd+ $7.00 for the chair= $21.91 done. it's unusual for me to have a project that i can do without matt's assistance. he didn't know what to do with himself since i insisted on doing my chair re-hab myself. i'm quite pleased with the product. here's the fruit of my labor (and $21.96):

i mentioned splurging on the fabric...yeah, i didn't. i was disappointed with the remnants sections at the three stores i went to. i ended up with this, for 6.99/yd. not bad!


after sanding, a coat of kilz, and two coats of pewter gray. it's not as blue as the picture looks:
