We have visited every bathroom at all establishments we frequent. It's amazing how terribly badly she just haaaaas to go, and only 4 drops come forth. While squeezing out those drips, Little One is sure to touch every square inch of the toilet seat, trashcan, and if I'm lucky, the floor as well. I might ought to buy stock in Purell as much hand sanitizer as we've been going through.
I also have become much more shameless (is that the right way to say it?) when it comes to nursing. While I am not an advocate of public exposure, I've spent a lot of time nursing in front of others...in the bathroom at church; in front of my MIL; while drinking coffee with friends. This is a major life altering difference between the 1st and 2nd rounds of lactation. A little freedom, if you will.
Along those lines, I will give Littlest a bottle of formula on occasion. Two nights ago, we were headed out to eat and I threw a 4oz bottle of water in my purse along with a formula dispenser. Apparently, in doing so, the cap flipped up on the dispenser, thus dispensing said powder all over the contents of my purse. I think it's like Christmas tree needles. No matter how thorough you are, you still find them in June.
But you know, life is good. It is sweet and it is full and I have much to be thankful for.

I love the way your write, your honesty and wit. Thanks for the well wishes! I see what I have to look forward to ;) Chaotic blessings!
i remember those days, after my second baby was born. i felt so grateful for my healthy children, but at the same time i was quite the mess. i was so overwhelmed at the prospect of grocery shopping i only shopped at braum's for 5 months. seriously. {braum's is a fast food hamburger restaurant that has a "fresh market" in it, with milk, limited vegetables, an extremely limited frozen section, and small meat selection.} it was amazing how i managed that summer in "survival mode." it certainly has become easier, but there were many ways that god set me strait on what were the ways of my ego, verses his plan for my life. reading a post like this is still completely validating to me, though, over a year and a half later. thank you!
I don't know if it'll make you feel any better or frighten you for the future, but I'm quite certain that my cholesterol is shockingly high because my diet primarily consists of drive-thru food these days. And my 2nd baby is 13 months old. It's just too stinkin' hard to get out of the car with two of them unless I absolutely have to!!!
Love you!
Hehehe! Doesn't it feel good to be that woman sometimes, though? I mean, you've got important little lives to attend to. You can't be worrying about sauerkraut.
Ack! I hope my husband still has the pic on his iPhone...he was "that Dad" pushing the car cart at Kroger! I've got to do a post about that :)
