I've been hunkered down with our littles for a few weeks now and I'm ready to live again. It feels like we are beginning to emerge. I've tackled the grocery store, pediatrician, and Target solo with both babies and we survived! Woop woop!

In other news, Little One has decided to potty train herself. I have no idea what I'm doing. Mom of the year over here has never picked up a book, watched a video, or even googled "potty training." But we have learned very quickly that this is totally a mind over body issue. Little One KNOWS what she's doing. The emotional aspect of training has me floored! She has total control, but doesn't always execute. Just today, we've moved from pull ups to underpants. Yay for only like 10 diapers a day only from Littlest, rather than 15+ from both girls!!

Christmas was a new experience for us. Not only with two littles, but because we were home, in our home, for the first time in seven years of marriage. We got to go to our church's Christmas Eve service, we got to wake up in our beds, we did Santa and presents and breakfast in our house. While we missed our loved ones, it was so nice to be home!

Our tree is still up. Poor dead tree. Ornaments are falling off left and right. The blanket of needles beneath it is as thick as my down comforter. But it sure has been wonderful to nurse our newest blessing by it's light, to read with Little One on my lap admiring it. I love having a tree up. And then I love to reclaim my home!

Love the pictures! And LOVED getting my tree down and reclaiming my home :)
The girls look so sweet! Isn't it funny how once you have two, one seems SO EASY!! I am impressed you have already tackled so many places with the two on your own. I haven't done much more - it takes too long, too much to pack and too many things can go down hill too quickly for me! I am so happy to hear you feel the newborn fog lifting. That to me is the best part:) Wishing you and your family good health and lots of snuggle time.
She is beautiful! Congratulations! And Christmas at home is so wonderful isn't it?
I'm so excited for the update. I have been thinking about you so much! Very impressed with you and the outings AND for MTs potty training! :)
Hooray for Christmas at home! It was our first one here, too. It was divine. H has been potty training, too. But at my insistence. There's no real initiative on her end, which is making it a bit of a struggle. Good for you reentering the "real world"!
Congrats on tackling errands and outings alone with both babes! That's hard!!
