We're less than a month away from D-Day. That would be Delivery Day, people. And let me tell you how content this little girl is to be breech. She's comfortable there, her feet at my left ribs, her head at my right. I told the Love of My Life the other day that if this
bebe's contentment with doing the wrong thing this side of the womb is
indicative of her potential
contentment with doing the wrong thing outside the womb, we are doomed. Doomed! Pray that she flips. We have a c-section scheduled in case she doesn't. And that is a bit scary for me to wrap my head around.

This morning, I pulled out
Shepherding a Child's Heart to revisit some things. We've entered a totally new era in the realm of behavior with Little One and I wanted to brush up on all that I had forgotten since reading it the first time. It was sitting on the table next to my coffee when Little One noticed it.

LO: "Mama, can I read dis?"
Me: "Sure. You might not like it though."
LO: "What is it?"
Me: "It's a book for mommy and daddy to read to help us discipline you."
LO: "Mama, you might need to read dat."
And then I nearly wet my pants.

This new era of behavior involves selfishness, bossiness, a strong will, and lots of whining. Some days aren't so rough. Others require 1/4 beer in a frosty mug while
LOML drinks the other 3/4. Do you know how good frozen beer froth is?

As you can see, Little One was a nurse for Halloween. Mom let me borrow several costumes from my sisters' and my childhood collection of ballet recital and handmade costumes. Mom saved every. single. one. Are you looking for a specific costume? Odds are that my mother has one in the depths of that wardrobe. Martha Washington? Check. Christopher Columbus? Check. Annie? Jasmine? Penguin? Triple Check.

Regardless, I picked three for LO to decide between. And she picked the nurse...That mom made for my career day back in kindergarten. And LO's doctor kit? A gift from my date at the Fiji Christmas party my freshman year at Auburn. It's been sitting at the top of a closet at mom's house for a decade. A DECADE. And now, we play doctor every waking moment. Well, really I just get a shot every waking moment. Apparently that is just hilarious.

Oh she is too cute! Love that she endorses Shepherding a Childs Heart! ha! Praying that little one flips herself.
First of all, why oh why did your date give you a doctor's kit???
And secondly, I'll be praying that that baby flips. I know the anxiety. Andrew flipped at 37 weeks, so there's still time!
So funny! She was a cute little nurse!
What a cutie! Love the nurse costume! Praying for the baby and that she will flip. Second children...you just never know what to expect from them!
She is the CUTEST nurse!! Hilarious that she likes to give you shots - lucky you!

Hey Girl, I know you are so excited about the arrival of your new LO! I just wanted to take a second to comfort you in knowing that having a c-section is not terrible. I ended up having to have one this time around and I was scared too. Of course, my c-section did occur after 22 hours of labor while feeling natural contractions at the end because my 2nd and 3rd epidurals didn't work. So, needless to say, I was READY for a c-section. The toughest parts of the surgery were the initial discomfort soon after and not being able to lift SG for 2 weeks. However, once I started walking I actually thought the healing process was better than a vaginal delivery. Not lifting SG was hard, but I made arrangements to receive plenty of help in the meantime. I hope this helps. In my case, it wasn't so bad.
