Bored

First of all, I'd like to ask for your prayers this Monday morning. We got a phone call yesterday that our newest little nephew (LOML's sister's child) will be undergoing surgery this afternoon. He's two weeks and two days old. Sweet thing started to get very sick and his dear mama knew it was more than reflux. His surgery today will correct what is called pyloric stenosis. Please pray for a precise procedure, swift healing, and comfort, rest, and peace for his mama and daddy. I believe in the power of prayer. I believe that God hears us. I believe that God is faithful.

On another note, we've been slightly under the weather here. We've spent a LOT of time inside. I've had to get creative with activities....and so, without further adieu, a peek at our goings on:

Our dogs are usually outside. But it's been cold. And we've been bored. So in they came. LO wasn't too thrilled at first, but warmed up pretty quickly. She's always been careful around the dogs. After several days of indoor play, she's now a bit aloof to their presence.

LO's always been interested in whatever it is that I'm doing up at the sink. If I'm not ready to go before she gets up in the mornings, we log some time together in the bathroom.

And another idea that's sure to provoke sheer delight....an empty diaper box. By the way, I used to go with the Sam's brand of diapers. Loved them. But once we outgrew size 4, they're not the same. FYI.

Hope you had a merry weekend.

I have a good friend whose baby son (one of twins) had to have this same surgery for the same condition. He healed well and they say though it is rare to have p.s., although more common in boys, the surgery is quick and there is quick recovery with no more likely problems ever. hope this gives encouragement.

And FYI...we LOVED the target brand diapers better than any others..especially after size 4!

We loved the LUVS all the way until we were out of diapers and I never had a leak- even in the big sizes. And don'tcha love when they are utterly entertained by a simple, free object? Makes me wonder what we're thinking buying anything for Christmas! :) Enjoy your break!
