We had our first crazed-mother-desperately-searching-for-her-child's-lovey-before-her-nap-incident on Sunday. LO has two of the same lovies that she drags around with her like little Linus from Charlie Brown. We toted one to church on Sunday and somehow made it home less the lovey. I realized the error of my ways and alarmed the husband who flew like a bat out of you know where to the building in which we worship (our church is young and we do not have our own building yet. During the week it is open to many outsiders who might possibly steal our lovey from the nursery! GASP!) Doors locked. No cigar.
On to better things...like Starbucks. I'm a Starbucks fan but only when I have a gift card. After school today, LO and I headed to the Bucks to pick up what I considered a well deserved treat. When we got home, I hoisted Little One onto my left hip and dragged out the diaper bag, purse, lunch bag, jacket, drink and keys and headed for the door. I didn't realize that that little booger was sipping on my coffee the WHOLE walk to the door and wait to get the door open. I only recognized that she had been downing my drink when I heard the "ahhhhhh" after a good long draw from the straw. What can I say? The girl knows a good thing when she tastes it. Don't get me started on her affection for chocolate.

Oh my goodness. I can just imagine her sipping on a Starbucks! Cute! I usually will only do Starbucks if I have a gift card too.
I'm with you - I only go to Starbucks when I have a gift card. It gets so expensive otherwise! I also find it hilarious that she was sippin' away without your knowledge!
So strange that you posted this today! Helen has a couple of loveys and they both needed to go in the wash today. I'm thinking I need to order a backup or two!
L's lovey is a discontinued Ty toy. As soon as I realized it would be "the one", I went on a mad internet search and bought 2 more. Best investment ever. D asks if I'm worried L will be crushed to learn that there's not JUST ONE... I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.
PS- love her new kicks!
