The Love of My Life is some kind of handy. To briefly refresh your memory, when we bought our house nearly 4 years ago, we knew the garage would have to go. The rotten wood had been covered in aluminum siding by the previous owner. Just months after signing on the dotted line, we noticed the sagging. Window panes started to fall out. The doors started to slump. It had to go. And so LOML did what he does best. Demo. Little One and I supervised the operation. Unfortunately, I don't have a true before pic, but you get the idea:
There were a whole lot of phases to this project. Demo. Debris removal. Concrete clearing. Concrete pouring. French drain installation. Framing. Sheathing. Tyvek. Trusses. Roof decking. Roofing. Trim. Doors. Siding. Dry wall. Caulking. Painting. Column wrapping. Done.

And today, when I pull into our driveway, this is what I see:
Oh, and one last thing. LOML took this project head on all by himself. Besides hiring a roofer (although LOML did the roof decking) and a painter, he did it all. I am beyond proud of my dear husband.

Awesome! I have a very handy husband too..which comes in very handy! We finally finished our master bathroom and it could seriously be in a magazine. I was hesitant when he said he was going to everything, including the plumbing, but he did an amazing job!
It's nice to have handy husbands. Otherwise, I wouldn't have any upgrades...who can afford the labor contractors want for stuff. Geez!

Oh congrats!!! I am so happy for you all! This is wonderful! And I've just "caught up" on all your posts...Little One's hair is ADORABLE!!! Little Bit has the beginnings of that going on. Mom told me I should send you a pic. :) And you paid off everything but the mortgage!!! Hooray for you all! I am so happy for you! Wooo hooooo!!!!!! And Easter and the egg hunt...oh my. All these pics and reading all this makes me miss you even more! Love to all three of you!
