Back to School...again

We returned to school on Monday. The children were thrilled to share with classmates about their new loot from Christmas. Teaching kindergarten through fifth grade students lends a pretty expansive array of gifts. My top 3 favorites:

3. A concrete statue of Edward Cullen that nearly gave one of my precious ones a black eye.(Edward is a character from those dreadful Twilight books. Yes, I said dreadful.)

2. An i-Phone. Great, extravegant gift. A bit uneccesary for a kindergarten student, no?

1. A goldfish, appropraitely named Hannah Montana Lipstick.

I just keep hoping by the time our kids are older things will have cycled back around... you know, teenagers in clothes that don't cost more than mine, no cell phones for anyone who doesn't need one (in my opinion, this is generally anyone under driving age, with some exceptions I'm sure)... etc, etc...
Darling pics!
