Merry, merry

We've been doing some decorating around our little abode. It's quite cozy, if I do say so myself. Our tree is loaded with treasures that each have a story. And it emits just the right amount of dreamy glow. Little One is completely enamored. To keep her away from the colorful packages underneath is going to take a lot out of this mama!



Surely you've noticed the lack of posts the past few weeks. I am learning a lot about balance, time management, motherhood, and being a wife. In this newest season, loving my husband and my child doesn't allow much time for blogging. I've been reading The Mission of Motherhood. If you are a mother or are going to be a mother or are hoping to be a mother, you must read this book. Sally Clarkson beautifully sums up my heart:

Choosing to be a servant mother means willingly giving up myself, my
expectations, and my time to the task of mothering- and choosing to believe
that doing so is the best use of my time at that moment. It means that I
have made the decision to make myself available in the routine tasks and
myriad interruptions of daily life because I believe it is God's will for me
to serve my family through them.

And so, 9 months into it, my priorities are still adjusting as my heart is shaped and formed through the addition of Little One to our family. Please bear with me as we all figure it out.
