Got Milk?

We lost power last night. We heard the loud pop of a transformer and then it went dark. I don't usually mind it when the power goes out. It makes for some quality time (sans internet or tv) spent with your roommates, spouse, family, whatever. And I'm always up for a game of Gin Rummy by candlelight (who wouldn't be!). But last night was an exception for my usual no electricity enthusiasm.

I wasn't too concerned for the new tub of mint chocolate chip icecream that was melting away. Or the load in the washer that was working on some mildew. Not all that worried that I'd be missing reruns on tv or couldn't check my email. Nosiree.

This mama was freaking out over the possible loss of 4 months worth of frozen breastmilk! {my apologies to the few men in the audience} If that liquid gold had gone bad, I know it would have thrown me into a serious state of depression. Well, not really, but it wouldn't have been pretty. I (Little One) can't say thank you enough to our friends who lovingly, no questions asked, made room in their freezer for a big ole bag filled with precious packages of frozen milk. Only real friends, right?
