Kissed

A list of sorts:

1. We're on day three of Little One sleeping through the night. I am a new woman. Getting more than 4 hours of straight sleep is a gift. Part of me misses those late night feedings, when Little One and I were the only two people in the whole world. But only PART of me misses that. :)

2. Did you watch American Idol last night? We haven't watched it all season long, but tuned in last night for a bit of the finale. I loved watching Lionel Richie. He takes me back to the days of riding around in mom's minivan listening to Magic 96. And then there was the performance by Kiss. I suppose they looked the same as they always have but I'll tell you, those men scare me about as much as Mr. Ed's teeth. In fact, they scare me so much that I couldn't even put a picture of 'em on here. The least scary part is their platform shoes- and considering it's men wearing those things, that's pretty scary.

3. We've got a big weekend planned. Matt's mama (Nana), sister, and nephew will all be here tomorrow! We are super excited about Little One meeting her Aunt Ashley and cousin Luke for the first time. I remember meeting Luke for the first time back in August of 2007. Whoa. Time flies.

4. We've been emptying the garage to begin Phase II of our odyssey. Did you know that we need this many pairs of camo boots to accommodate different hunting needs? Well, we do. There were more pairs that hadn't made it out of the garage yet. Only one pair is mine. (Yes, even I have a pair of knee high camo boots- a Christmas gift from you know who. And in case you're wondering, I've worn them riding 4wheelers, when I pressure washed the driveway, and when it snowed. That's more than I thought!) The cleanout also justified the tossing of some turkey feet and beards that "we" had saved. Gross. Those old hardened feet make me cringe.

5. This morning, we had a dumpster dropped in front of the house and a Bobcat will be showing up tomorrow afternoon. Can you guess what in the world for? That concrete is a callin'. Hosta la vista, baby.

Happy Memorial Day weekend, folks. Peace out.
