And the winner is...

Michele! You all knew what it was though. You didn't seem to even have to think about it! Alright, Michele, what'll it be? Starbucks or Target?

It's a diesel powered air compressor, used to run a gigantic jackhammer. The Love of My Life is a project manager for a general contractor and has access to some pretty sweet tools and equipment. When he pulled into the driveway with this beast, I had no idea what it was. I thought you'd have a hard time figuring it out, too. I underestimated you! While inspecting it, I laughed out loud as I read the warning: "When running, keep hands and all other body parts away from engine." Just in case you were planning to put your shoulder in there. Or maybe your ear.

Anyway, the weekend project consisted of using a saw (with diamonds on the blade...ooh lah lah) to cut seams in our over-concreted back patio area and driveway. There's so much cement back there that it looks as though a concrete truck threw up. Seriously. And if you're curious, the seams are to separate the areas that will be torn out or re-poured from what will stay. After the seams were cut, LOML used the jackhammer to break up what needed to go. This is just phase one of an infinite number of phases in our "we need a new garage" odyssey. Truth be told, the structure is completely rotten. The roof is falling in. The previous homeowner tried to cover up the problem with some lovely vinyl siding. We saw right through her ploy (literally). Let's just say we didn't buy the house for the garage.

Sorry ladies, he's taken. :)
