Just so you know, the bump has gotten pretty large. I haven't been really good about taking pictures of the progression, but trust me, it's there. Let's suffice it to say that Love of My Life told me that I looked like one of those tribal women in a National Geographic magazine. Minus the piercings, of course.
Over Christmas, we enjoyed listening to the musings of my 4 1/2 year old niece, MW. She and LOML were walking down the sidewalk, him barefoot. He noticed little MW watching his feet very carefully as they made their way back to the house.
"Uncle LOML?"
"Yes, MW?"
"I think the hair on your toes is cute." giggle giggle giggle
I have noticed that when passing by students in the hallway, they no longer look at my eyes, but my belly. One curious fourth grader could not quit staring. He finally looked in my eyes and asked, "Mrs. LOML, why is your stomach so huge?" "Well, Christian, why do you think it might be so large?" He responded with, "either you ate WAY to much over Christmas or there's a baby in there." Brilliant.
