On a lighter note, I started and finished my drapery panels this past weekend. Sorry about the picture. The wall color looks a little off. And unfortunately, Jennifer, the ceiling isn't blue...just plain ole ceiling white. Wish I had thought of that a few weeks ago!! Ta-da:

Part III
Surprise, surprise!! I was dismissed from jury duty altogether today. I only waited to find out from 9:00 until 1:15! I bolted out of that place like the building was on fire. I won't lie. I am a bit disappointed that I wasn't put on a trial. However, I am greatly relieved at the same time. While I had a lot of time to think, it came to mind that there is something wrong with our judicial system (well, a lot wrong with it, but this stands out in my case). I, along with those 47 others yesterday, was totally inconvenienced because of the decisions of one man. ONE man's actions took me out of work, required me to pay to park five blocks from the building, walked myself up to the sixth floor, to criminal court division 5, to sit for 3 hours and wait. Not to mention the other 9 hours I sat and waited. There's something wrong with that. At least I'm guaranteed another 10 years of no jury duty. But just to give you a head's up, they are changing the law in January of 2009 that you CAN be selected again for jury duty within TWO years. According to the jury commissioner, those is our city don't have to worry about that because we've got a large pool of people to pull from. 10 years it is for us. Sweet.
