After church on Sunday, we enjoyed the "cool" southern weather. LOML spent some time building up our tomato stakes. We're amateurs at this garden thing and had no idea that we'd need such tall stakes. LOML built a cage of sorts that provides a little support to those heavy branches {that WILL BE bursting with tomatoes soon}. And yes, I did take these pictures from inside- I'm still in my pajamas.
I spy a little green friend:
While LOML slaved away in the sun, I took to organizing his, I mean THE garage. We inherited some old cabinets from a Morgan Keegan office that have housed *all of The Love of My Life's tools for quite some time. (*Please note that the word ALL means pretty much every type of saw, drill, air compressor, screw, nail, hose, cord, bit, wrench, socket, caulk, bonding agent, clamp, paint supply item, and any other thing you can think of that they sell at Lowe's. If you need it, we've probably got it.)The only problem was that he hadn't taken the time to put the shelves in them. Stuff was piled on top of more stuff and I couldn't find anything in there (maybe there's a reason for that). Regardless, I take pride in my organizational skills. We also took several items up to the attic- a rocking chair, side table, card table, beach chairs, headboard and footboard, an old shutter that I WILL refinish and use in the house- I already did one. I unearthed several Craig's List possibilities- hunting gear that goes unused each year- how many tree stands can you really use anyway?, and LOML's old wakeboard. We also have a snowboard if anyone is interested.
The weekend was pretty successful with a clean garage, supported tomato plants, and pure goodness for our taste buds. I couldn't ask for much more!
