welcome home

i was in the grocery store yesterday, on the cereal aisle. has anyone noticed that the most desirable boxes are along the bottom shelf- the lucky charms, apple jacks, fruity pebbles and the like? i suppose it's so that children can secretly throw their favorites in the cart without mom knowing. what a strategic move on the grocery store's part! this being stated, the less desirable "old people" cereal (grape nuts) is normally up a little higher. a little man was driving along the aisle in his mobilized cart and stopped at the grape nuts. he was having trouble reaching them so i offered to help. he graciously accepted but kept his cart centered under his selection. so, i stood up on my tippy toes, behind his cart and reached for the box. i guess he saw that i was having a bit of trouble because the thing started doing the "back up beep" as he proceeded to back his cart up...you can see where i'm going here. that crazy man hit me with his cart. he only ran over my left toes and bumped my shin, but regardless...how does that happen? has any other capable human been run over by a mobilized cart in the grocery store? welcome home, right?

all that to say...we're back in town. trying to get back to normalcy after being out east for the surgery. everything went well...more to come later. i know you've all missed me. :)
